Grand View School's gymnasium was filled with grandparents, parents and students last night (Feb. 7, 2023). In partnership with the 21st Community Learning Centers and Boys & Girls Club, Grand View School hosted S.T.E.A.M. Family Night where students experienced hands-on learning science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities. Middle school science teachers coordinated this event, organizing students and activities. Grade level teachers set up tables, and students rotated through the different activities. Some of the activities included: marshmallow towers, catapult, walking water, microscope discoveries, straw rocket launch, fishing with magnets, graphing pictures, and operating robots. Tahlequah Public Library joined us bringing robots and engineering with blocks. Other Grand View staff helped by setting up and arranging the tables before the activities began, then stayed the entire time helping take down the tables and getting the gym ready for the next school day.
